WarCraft’s Iconic Villain Kael’thas Joins Heroes Of The Storm

Slipping in before Heroes of the Storm‘s official release Blizzard added another fan favourite to the game’s ever-growing roster: The wretched mage Kael’thas Sunstrider from The Burning Crusade and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne.

Using his also iconic “fel-green” Verdant Spheres and various fire attacks, he’s completely true to the crazy villain we faced maybe too many times in World of Warcraft. He was teased a few days ago, but now that maintenance is over both in the US and in the EU, we all have a chance to play as him against other Blizzard characters.

Here’s a spotlight video showing all his abilities. Feels like a proper WoW raid boss: there’s no way to hide from these ranged attacks.

This one below looks particularly awesome. His “Phoenix” attack, which is basically a mini Al’ar.
