Crytek’s VR Game Has Dinosaurs, My Attention

Crytek’s VR Game Has Dinosaurs, My Attention

Crytek’s virtual reality experiment is turning into its own… game? Experience? What are we calling these things? Either way, say hello to Robinson: The Journey.

A few months back, Crytek released this VR demo:

Is Robinson: The Journey full of moments like this? Gosh, I hope so.

Here’s how Crytek describes it:

Harnessing the power of Crytek’s CRYENGINE, Robinson: The Journey will offer players an unparalleled sense of presence in a game world as they assume the role of a young boy who has crash-landed on a mysterious planet. With freedom to explore their surroundings in 360 degrees of detail, players will become pioneers by interacting with the rich ecosystem around them and unearthing incredible secrets at every turn.

There’s no release date for Robinson: The Journey, but if rumours about Sony heavily pushing Project Morpheus at this year’s E3 are true, we might see this show up at their press conference.

P.S. That is a bad name for a video game, movie or anything that’s not a direct-to-DVD sequel.
