Togrul Alekperov is a 3D environment artist who has worked on projects like Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
He’s also helping out on Halo Humanity, an ambitious fan film set in the sci-fi universe.

Every time I look at that Longsword, my brain yells “That is basically the entire reason why humanity got its ass handed to it by the covenant.”
We designed an atmospheric fighter through and through and then chucked it as a starfighter?? They couldn’t design 2 separate aircraft for clearly independent roles??

Halo is another of the sci-fi universes that align with the “space as air” theory. None of the ships (human or otherwise) resemble anything that looks like it could be a real spacecraft. They only have forward thrusters!
