Today Square Enix debuted the first in-game footage of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. As expected, it’s cyberpunk as hell.
The trailer is heavy on three things: 1) action, 2) the colour black, 3) the colour gold. The first part is a bit off-putting (Deus Ex is about out-sneaking and/or out-smarting, damn it), but it does provide an opportunity for Eidos Montreal to show off some of Jensen’s flashy new tricks. For instance, he can now detach his arm blades and use them as projectiles. Would that he could do the same with his retractable sunglasses.

Deux ex isn’t meant to be a stealth game, action SHOULD be as rewarding as stealth! The last game forgot that, and that skewing towards splinter cell’ish gameplay was my only real gripe with the director’s cut of HR.
If this one is better balanced, thats a good thing! I don’t want to have to traipse through every vent to maximise my xp, I want to choose the vents.
Haha… you nailed exactly why I played stealth. Must have all the praxis points!
Does this have a release date yet?
Good lord modern Deus Ex games are some of the most aesthetically pleasing titles I can think of. And them soundtracks. Michael McCann. *dies*
No they’re not, they’re about having the choice to solve problems the way you want to.
So glad they’re using more blues this time round, the 3rd one was so, so gold and black.
Unless they’ve added a goddamned melee button, it’s unlikely to be a sale from me.
