Square Explains World Of Final Fantasy

Square Explains World Of Final Fantasy

Remember that other Final Fantasy from yesterday’s Sony conference? Today Square Enix explained it. Kinda.

Square discussed the RPG that nearly started riots during their E3 press conference. World of Final Fantasy, they said, is being created with three main goals in mind:

  • To be playable by anyone of any age or gender
  • To create a wholly new type of Final Fantasy experience
  • To offer a new game system that is both simple and clear– er, deep.

Square wants kids and parents to share the experience, go on quests and wrangle chocobos together. Perhaps one child will be like, “Mummy, why is Cloud’s sword so big?” and then said wonderful, patient mother will get to explain what overcompensation is.

World of Final Fantasy will be out on PS4 and PS Vita in 2016.
