Destiny’s most hated gun, used in one of Destiny’s toughest challenges. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right? Not for this group of expert players.
Watch as a team destroys the competition inside of Trials of Osiris, a hardcore Destiny elimination mode where players are rewarded for the number of wins they accrue. Th3Jez provides a montage, where you can see that the team accomplishes nine wins in a row, mostly with a gun with a terrible firing rate.
Things do get dicey during the run, and the team ends up with two super kills and one melee kill by the end of the challenge…but still! This is impressive; it’s difficult enough to get through Trials of Osiris and unlock the coveted lighthouse, nevermind doing it with an awful gun. But they’re so good, the team makes No Land Beyond seem like a fantastic choice: one well-placed headshot, and bam. Enemy dead.
Good shit, K.J Hovey, Mike Tash and Th3Jez!

whats so amazing about it? this is nothing more then sniper only matches on PC games. If this game was on pc it would make videos like this look like child’s play.
It’s amazing because there are snipers in Destiny with actual scopes that fire much faster without the bolt action. And there’s also far more superior weaponry available.
They’re playing at a significant disadvantage.
In the right hands, No Land Beyond can be an amazing weapon, as shown above.
I mean, it’s a mid-range sniper (so can be used at short / long distances) that does drastic damage, and isn’t that hard to aim.
Coupled with its perks, it’s only downside is its reload times.
It also frees you up to use a sniper / shotgun combo, if you’re so inclined.
I still dont see how it is amazing. If you practice enough with any weapon you can be good at it.
Including look at other games with sniper weapons, you dont need the fastest loading gun or a scope and you can still do well.
So, 9 wins and zero losses with a completely inferior weapon isn’t amazing to you. Congrats.
Because it’s a terrible weapon.
Among snipers it has the lowest rate of fire, smallest clip, lengthy bolt action reload between every shot and again after the clip change animation.
It has no scope which means it sucks at long range and the clunky iron sights are restrictive. It has a vital damage multiplier, but still falls short in damage. (Other snipers can do higher damage to non vitals)
It’s only redeeming quality is the fact it sounds nice and looks good.
So it sucks comparatively to all other snipers, is out classed in other ranges by all other classes of gun.
We know the players skill matters, the fact he can take such an underwhelming weapon and still dominate one of the fiercest competitive modes in Destiny at the moment is the amazing thing.
nailed it.
I hear keyboard tapping.
They using a xim?
I remember when i got this weapon, it was my first run through POE. I went down to the treasure room, opened the big chest and got an exotic weapon. I was so happy, but then I saw what I had gotten……
same! I got one first run through PoE too. I was like YESSS (opens chest)…NOOOOOOOO!
It was my third NLB….sharded every one.
