Before The Witcher 3 officially released, much of the talk online was about downgrades, or disappointment about the graphics. Now that people have had a chance to actually play the game, however, the discussion around The Witcher 3 is very, very different.
There are over a thousand reviews on Steam right now, and almost all of them are overwhelmingly positive: people love this game. Mostly, people cite the meaty well-written sidequests and the number of hours of entertainment that the game provides as strengths. They also tend to cite many of The Witcher’s more ridiculous aspects, like the beard, the sex, and the glitches. Surprisingly, a lot of people like Gwent, The Witcher’s built-in card game too.
Here’s what Steam has to say about The Witcher 3:

I’m the opposite, I’m having a real hard time getting in to the game. I play for an hour or two then seem to want to take a break.
it’s like that for me with other RPGs, it’s a feeling that the game is to daunting IMO. NOT witcher 3 though…
Not too daunting just boring for me. I love most other rpgs and the witcher isn’t bad just abit slow and cliched
Ever since witcher 3 came out, all I can hear when I get home is the sound of all my other games’ screaming for attention
“Why don’t you love us?! What did we do to deserve your scorn?”
“You weren’t Witcher 3. That’s what you did.”
What? How did… Stay out of my head!
lol at the 321.5 hr review
Have there even been 321 hours since this game released? How does this sort of thing happen?!
Given his review was posted on 29 May it’s a bit sus as the game was released on 19 May… even counting the 19th and 29th as full days its only 264hr.. something strange about that one. Unless the time on record keeps updating, and the reivews were only screen capped today, then 321hrs is technically possible, if you don’t sleep.
In saying that, still very funny though.
PC so fast it creates a time-warp to let you play Witcher 3 for longer.
He most likely cheated that playtime – http://www.steamidlemaster.com/
Heh. ‘Played time’ on Steam is pointless, though.
I’ve had people ask me about a game they thought I’ve been playing a lot of, but I really just left it open in the background to collect the Steam cards while I was doing something else.
I don’t know how many hours my Steam record of Witcher 3 is, but it’s at least the last five days of me not actually closing the program when I go to do something else and leaving it running 24/7.
Oh shit, I didnt know there was frypan finding involved! Buying it now!
Yeap. The frying pan is awesome.
Not only that, but bears are dangerous and hard to kill, just like in real life! On the other hand, deer, sheep, pigs and other animals can be killed in one hit…
So good. Now I just need the time to play it…
I’m enjoying it, haven’t had too much chance to play so currently sitting on Level 6. I only have one complaint so far, and this is not just for The Witcher 3, but for other new HD games. For gods sake, can you please include an option to INCREASE THE FONT SIZE FOR ALL TEXT ON THE SCREEN!!! I’m not that old yet, and I have a decent size TV, but to be able to comfortably read all the text in the menus etc, I need to sit about 1.5 metres from the TV, and it drives me NUTS!
I would heartily recommend Slavic Domestic Theft Simulator 2015 to my friends and family.
