Sad news: I think I’m gonna lay off The Witcher 3 for a while. Batman: Arkham Knight is out, and Splatoon is slowly starting to take over my life. What are you playing this weekend?
Batman: Arkham Knight — I’m really looking forward to getting started with that one. I’ve loved previous games in the series, and I love how rewarding it is to just make Batman move around. When you have that core concept nailed everything else is just gravy.
Splatoon. Goddamn, I’m just so into that game. I can’t even explain it. It’s just so easy, so cool. It’s a weird word to describe a video game, but it’s fashionable. I love it.
What are you playing this weekend?

Final Fantasy 4 on Steam
Continuing Mother 3, may even return to Cities: Skylines.
I’m also really tempted to play The Witcher 2 now that I’ve finished with 3.
Going on a road trip to my parents’ house this weekend. After 9 hours’ driving each way I’ll probably just continue with Persona Q and maybe some Project Diva F 2nd.
Got to the second world in Persona Q, I love P4G & P3P but the spin offs just don’t seem to do it for me.
Yeah, I played P4G and P3P. I’m also in the second world in Persona Q. I’m finding it OK so far, but kind of hard even though I’m only playing on normal difficulty. I find that I run out of SP fairly quickly and have to go back to base to heal. Maybe it’s designed that way. I’m really hanging out for P4D but no idea if/when it will be released in EU.
Yeah, I knocked it down to easy because the repetition of getting so far in, finding a shortcut, heading back to base, rinse repeat, was getting to me.
Seems I’m not a big fan of that style .
P4D isn’t my thing, love the music & music in general, but have no rhythm & get no joy from those types of games.
I’m also really freaked out by the soulless faces stuck on the motion capture bodies.
Just picked up Devil Survivor Overclocked again last night & managed to beat the fight I was stuck on months ago. Hopefully that means I’ll be finished before Record Breaker comes out in October.
Yoshi’s Woolly World arrived at my house yesterday. Tonight I’ll be putting a good few hours into finishing my week off with some cuteness. 🙂
Me too, I’ve got a mate coming over and we’re going to play the co-op. Lots of trolling will be had. It is possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever played: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CIV_FxIVEAAlCas.jpg:large
hell’s yeah… woolly balls of Yoshi poop… win!
Dark Souls 2
Devil Survivor Overclocked
maybe some Bloodborne
maybe some Devil Summoner Soul Hackers
Got the shits with Freedom Wars, thinking of getting rid of it.
Dark Souls 3?
I wish, typo, thanks
What is the world like in 2016?
The hoverboards are pretty good but I’m sick of being forced to put pictures of my genitals online.
Amazing. Abbott was kicked out and replaced by someone competent who got everybody in Australia Google Fibre within 3 months..
now i know you are telling lies, you said someone competent was elected…
Ratchet and Clank 3 and Chrono Trigger mostly. I just bought God Hand on sale from PSN so maybe that too.
Chrono ftw!
I’ll be dividing my time between FF14 Heavensward and Yoshi’s Woolly World, which is just adorable!
Given the state of Batmangs on the PC, I’ll probably spend most of the weekend in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Got that MMO itch again and with an awesome looking expansion around the corner, I am keen.
Ark: Survival Evolved. Been a loooong time since I’ve been sucked into a game like I have with this one.
I’ve been looking at that. How does it compare to DayZ or is it more like Rust?
More like Rust but (in my opinion) more content. It’s still very much Alpha – the optimization isn’t great so be prepared to play at 30FPS and have the odd bug/glitch but the developers are very active and there are patches basically every day.
And you can eat your own poo.
Nananananananana nananananananana Batman!
Batman!
BATMAN! Uh, LEADER!
I LOVE THE LEADER!
Bananaman!
Will be playing Yoshi’s Woolly World, Batman: Arkham Asylum (that’s right, I said Asylum) and Lego Jurassic World. Also, the usual AdVenture Capitalist and Clicker Heroes.
Probably more Splatoon.
Though might get the 64 out for some Lylat Wars action. Also suppose I should crack out Yoshi, although I still have Kirby sitting there waiting to be looked at.
Splatoon. Even after I hit level 20 I’ve been stuck in a cycle of buying clothes to see which perks they have.
It… It’s not stopping!
That is exactly why I fire it up on or around midnight every day, then play a few rounds of Ranked.
Though for the last week or so, all I’ve been getting is a single low-level shirt. No shoes, no hats. Just a shirt.
The other night it changed things up by giving me a mid-level shirt AND a pair of shoes!
We’re fashion victims.
Batman! I even skipped GYM yesterday to play BATMAN!
If I finish that I’ll get back into FF14 that I just bought. Maybe even finish Stanley Parable or give another run to FTL.
Going to visit my parents tomorrow. Need my dad to finally look at why my car lights keep going out.
Also have D&D on Sunday, maybe now I’ll talk about the problems I’m having with the campaign.
I might also try applying to Kotaku. Most likely have little chance, but can still do it for fun.
It’s only ok if it was leg day.
Today is leg day.
Oh my gosh nooo.. skip it! and play more batsy
I actually rotate through them.
Everyday is leg day.
One does not simply finish The Stanley Parable.
Probably will end up finishing Witcher 3. I’m well into the final 3rd act now and doing well in terms of equipment and skill layout, so it is definitely a possibility. However, I do want to try to get superior griffin armor set completed.. so there’s that.. in any case, I’ll be playing Witcher 3 again
Fuck Batman, I’m gonna play this cool little game called Bloodborne. Up to the second nightmare, all optional areas done, LET’S DO THIS!!!
Also “String Yoshi”.
I actually finished Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure last weekend, much to my surprise.
I’m going to try and start up Persona 3 Portable again…
… or, I’ll just watch Natsume’s Book of Friends.
Her Story is out! Really looking forward to this.
World of Warships – Just going Open beta if anyone wants to join! If not this weekend then definitely within the next few weeks.
And Batman Arkham Knight!
World of Warships is a cool guy. Everybody should go get involved.
Totally a paid endorsement.Still true though.Heavenswaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard.
Planetside 2 and Driveclub ps+ edition on ps4. What a time we live in.
I grabbed fallout 3 goty edition during the week. Got the itch to play it again after seeing fallout 4. Maybe some farming simulator 2015.
Hoping to pick up a copy of Yoshi’s Woolly World today too.
I’m bouncing between World of Warcraft (Patch 6.2 dropped the other day, need to get to work so I can raid with my guild), Batman: Arkham Knight, LEGO Jurassic world & J-Stars Victory VS+
Witcher 3, been playing it slow, only just hit Novagrad, about 40 hrs in.
Also got first LAN gaming session in our new office tomorrow night, way better layout now.
I’m about to start a months nursing placement in rural South Australia.
I’m bringing my xbox with Witcher, Halo MCC, Batman, Mass Effect & Super Meat Boy (BC).
I’m bringing Deadwood, and a few other TV series.
If the place I’m staying doesn’t have internet, or the TV isn’t HDMI I’m completely boned.
Xboned.
Handhelds are a schmodsend in these situations
My wife is revisiting Fallout 3 which will probably tie up my steam library (thanks to family sharing) so I’m going to try and knock some games off my 360/One pile of shame since I’m taking a possibly very extended break from Destiny. Been telling myself I’ll play Watch_Dogs at some point, let’s see how we go.
Having been hooked on Destiny for the past several weeks, I can sympathise: finished the story, levelled up from 20 to 30, gained rank in the FWC, gotten legendary weapons in every slot, buying a completely useless engram from Xur, hitting more public events than I care to count and spending every other night in the crucible I’ve decided to kick the habit the long way I know how – by selling the damn game!
This weekend I’ll be playing Sunset Overdrive which I bought the other week and still haven’t played!
Was absolutely obsessed with The Witcher 3 but I’ve started putting it off to play Arkham Knight now that it’s out. I dislike playing two story heavy games at the same time, but dammit they are both too good to stop playing…
Finally decided to purchase an play The Last of Us on PS4, has not been a disappointment so far, very engaging. Probably a few matches of USF4 on PS4 as well. Been trying oh so hard to learn fundamentals, bread’n’butter combos, punishes etc. but gees, I think the small community on PS4 are all very experienced and have moved to this platform – struggling to be competitive at all.
Witcher 3. Playing pretty intermittently, so I’m bugger all through it, but it’s excellent 🙂
Otherwise, some GTAV or finish Halo 2.
DMC4 SPECIAL EDITION! WOO! then if I get bored, maybe some more arkham knight. Gonna grapnel boost all over the city to avoid using the atrocity of a batmobile
I’m addicted to playing with my zipper! It just makes such a soothing sound as it goes up and then down again. I’m going to be sad when I reach the point where it doesn’t work anymore but at least I would have 100% completed it.
Jacket or pants??
I’m hoping pants… More chance for human error that way
Both at the same time.
We have been playing hand of fate and really enjoying it.
Such a great game and a contender for my GOTY so far. Also doesn’t hurt that we are supporting Aussie game development.
Have just reached the kings so working our way through slowly
So glad to have a new game I can really get in to (Batman.) It’s blown me away so far and contrary to popular opinion, I really, really like addition of the Batmobile. Only done about 6% so far, but looking forward to a quiet weekend focused on that (and some Fifa.)
So everyone’s finished The Witcher or is everyone just fatigued with it?!
I’ve got a lot to go on that still then I might finish my last playthrough of Wolfenstein for my platypus – whenever i get to it
I’ve just reached Novigrad but I keep on falling asleep when I start inventory management (I think I need more sleep).
Dude – No excuse! I have an 18 month old and a 3 month old. I dont get sleep! Although two nights ago I was falling asleep all through the dialogue leading up to one of the main quests… It’s a hard game to pick up for an hour at a time… You may spend that hour chatting, wandering the streets of Novigrad to a few different destinations to find/meet certain people… Or you may find yourself in the middle of a quest and have to continue the next night!
Or perhaps find yourself falling asleep managing inventory… As much as the inventory has had its gripes from players – I showed a mate who hadnt seen the game last night and he loved the inventory and menus… Having said that he’s still playing Skyrim
Ha ha, if it is a quest then I’m usually OK, but if it is after about 10pm and I’ve had a long day, inventory management is death for me. Sifting through all those flowers I’ve picked and selling down to minimum levels, checking out any new alchemy or craft options, reading books… zzzzzzz…. then I wake up and half-an-hour has slid past like magic.
I’ve given up on getting rid of as much as I can – I just sell if I have an over abundance of an item – But really I try to keep everything and sell swords/armor. My inventory usually sits around 70/130 which is plenty of headroom for me so after questing, selling off armour and weapons will usually bring me back after potions and items consumed as well during the quest.
Having said that my inventory is a mess…
I got bored of it, don’t know why because I can tell it’s a good game but it isn’t sucking me.
Yoshi’s Woolly World, Fallout 3 goty and maybe some red dead redemption goty. I only ever got as far as Mexico when I originally played it, want to give it another try.
Batman, Yoshi and maybe some Devil May Cry… would also like to play more Ori but I don’t think I’ll have time with everything else!
Arkham Knight on the Xbone, Clicker Heroes on Steam and probably some Kingdoms of Amalur, also on Steam.
Finally picked up an Xbox One on Monday, with a handful of games. So my long weekend, apart from Saturday night (which will be spent around a fire with beer 😛 ), will be spent playing The Master Chief Collection, Forza Horizon 2 and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls 🙂
Batman Arkham Knight for me.
Lego Batman 2 for the wife.
Still going on Witcher 3 but just got Yoshi so probably some woollyness as well.
As usual, Final Fantasy XIV
After this weekend I’m going to have a lot more time on my hands, so I’ll probably get around to finishing off Tales of the Abyss. After that I’ll probably start on Splatoon.
Witcher 3 – 50+ hours in, and I might head to Skellige this weekend. Maybe.
Destiny – kinda running out of things to do atm – got nightfalls and 34 prisons out of the way on Tuesday night, 32 prisons on Wednesday… Unless Xur sells a boot engram, or the new exotic boots, I’ll have no reason to run bounties for XP – I’m nearly at the point where I’m levelling a No Land Beyond cos it’s the only place to sink XP into. Don’t need anything from VoG or CE, and have no interest in PvP, so… yea. I’m back to the point of considering limiting myself to a couple nights a week and spending other evenings working through my pile of shame.
You’re a goddam machine!
I have no idea how many hours im in in the Witcher – The time it says in game in the menu says 30 days or something but Im only in Novigrad!
WoW 🙁
Depending on Time probably play Splatoon with my son and then maybe a bit of Project Cars.
“…you can eat your own poo.”
10/10
Would play again.
Hooked up the wii (not U) the other day now that one of the kids is old enough and we’ve been playing swords in sports resort, there will be more of that. He also likes Super mario party 8. I’ll probably fire up boom blox and spyroi or Supermario Galaxy and see how he goes with that. (and on the PC, probably some Miscreated and ARK)
Mario Kart 8 then Witcher 3
I think I’m back on nba2k15. If not I just started the banner saga the other day and am still playing crusader kings.
I’m playing PS Plus DriveClub!!!!
Yeeeewww only waited how long?! Downloading now
Her Story. After that DMC4SE and maybe some Splatoon.
In the portable realm I shall continue with Toukiden: Kiwami 😉
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
Yoshi’s Wooly World for me. And some more Paper Mario. And I’m nearly finished my retro run of Eternal Darkness, so maybe that as well.
I was gonna play Yoshi’s Woolly World, until I realized that I didn’t have money, and soon came to an understanding of the fact that money must be used in a barter-like fashion in order to attain certain goods and services.
So, fuck it, I’m playing Splatoon. And Wheel of Fortune on Wii. That wheel is weighted, I swear.
I’m still deciding on whether I prefer to be Kid or a Squid….
Farming Simulator 2015 PS4. A game I can play while doing the housework, yet still less tedious than farming in Destiny.
Looks like it will be Splatoon for me, maybe some Wooly World thrown in. And of course, looking forward to co-op Borderlands tonight with the kids!
Will be playing Batman now that I have replaced my broken controller. The left thumb stick gave out during a fight last night, then Batman just kept walking in circles.
Demon’s Souls!
I will finally have internet again as of Friday (don’t cross me, TPG, don’t you f$#%ing dare!), and will have to start working through my steam backlog.
Until the net is running, will finish Borderlands 2, might have a bit more of a crack at Brutal Legend. Can’t really get into Dawn of War 2 (I miss the base-building), and Space Marine so far has been a total let-down.
Once the net is up, will be downloading Skyrim (clocked it on 360, time to do it again on PC!), Dishonored, Transistor, Max Payne 3, Fallout 3 and the Rise of the Triad reboot (summer sales… stupid Gaben).
