I’m confused. Didn’t Infinity Ward stop being independent developers when they were bought by Activision back in 2003, which was the year they started releasing Call of Duty?
It’s very odd to treat the origins of Call of Duty as an originally indepent game (albeit satirically) when the developer was never indie to begin with. Unfortunately the attempted comedic effect is lost when facts get in the way.
Just so we understand:
You’re saying that anytime that somebody warps a fact for the sake of a joke, it ruins the joke?
Perhaps comedy isn’t for you.
