Korean Horror Game Tasks You With Surviving A Haunted School

The Coma looks like its a mix of Lone Survivor and Persona — which is pretty exciting, if you ask me.

Here’s the premise, per the developers, Devespresso Games:

You were just another normal high school student in Korea. You had just sat down for your final exam, exhausted from an all-night cramming session. The result of all your preparation, and those gruelling hours spent studying was dozing off in the middle of the test.

You awake to find yourself alone – no one had bothered to wake you when class was over. Night has begun, and you decide to head home. If you can…

The Coma is a survival horror game coming to Steam, and it hopes to give people a sense of what “the life of Korea’s overworked high school students” is like. Obviously, it’s a metaphorical take on that concept, what with all the ghosts and otherworldly terrors that will try to kill you. The developers say they’re baking vulnerability into the game — you will play a normal student who isn’t very athletic. You’ll have to stay abreast of your stamina, which is kind of low, along with health, which is scarce. Sounds good to me.

The Coma was greenlit on Steam, and is currently aiming for an October 2015 release.
