Paradox Interactive, the studio behind one of the best strategy games of modern times, are for one of their next titles moving past the ages of sword and horse, into the age of starships and aliens with a game called Stellaris. I couldn’t be more psyched.
I know, I know, new game announcements should always be taken with a grain of salt, but this is Paradox in space. Stellaris is described as a “grand strategy” game, which has “an enormous selection of alien races and emergent storytelling, Stellaris has a deeply challenging system that rewards interstellar exploration as you traverse, discover, interact and learn more about the multitude of species you will encounter during your travels.”
It’s “coming soon” on PC.

Looks beautiful!
Not having played their other games, what is the actual gameplay mechanism? It it a realtime thing?
Realtime grand strategy. Great games with heaps of replayability but it can be a daunting task to learn how to play them.
Totally not the Tron soundtrack in the background there…which is awesome. Looks interesting.
I don’t think they are hiding that fact, it is very obvious.
