Retronator Pixel Art Academy is a game that’s going to teach you about art, while being art at the same time. Ah, video games.
Currently up on Kickstarter, the idea is that you play a student at an art academy who is studying pixel art, and by taking in-game classes, you’ll learn not just how to create your own, but how to appreciate the best of it in existing games as well.
The creation of pixel artist Matej ‘Retro’ Jan, the game is happening with or without Kickstarter money, as it’s a class project designed to take up a year’s work of his college studies. Funding, however, will let the game (and its classes) continue well past that.
