I loved the last Tomb Raider game, so I’ve been jazzed to see more from Rise of the Tomb Raider. Unfortunately, it feels like everything packed into the trailers and stage presentations involves Lara blowing dudes up or nearly falling off a cliff. The latest footage, however, is great!
There was a distinct lack of tomb raidin’ in the last game, but Crystal Dynamics has been promising much more of that in the sequel.
This new footage from Gamescom is the studio putting their money where their mouth is.
We watch Lara do some serious climbing.
Bust open some walls to solve a puzzle.
Explore a scary arse cave.
Discover a scary arse skeleton in said scary arse cave.
This looks awesome.
I don’t need to see anything more from Rise of the Tomb Raider, thank you. I’m sold.

i honestly feel nostalgic when i watch this trailer, i feel like it has the old school platforming and tomb raiding but with a touch of what Legend/Anniversary/Underworld had.
i am reeeeeeeally looking forward to this!
(AND NO MULTIPLAYER! :):):):))
Looks awesome, but I REALLY don’t need that individual hair thing. It just doesn’t work for me and I’m sure the power can be spent somewhere else.
Um… the page keeps resetting itself halfway through the video…
Ok, that was crap.
Not including the montage during the last two minutes and not including just walking along and looking at things there was about 30 seconds of gameplay.
She jumped onto a ledge at one point. I saw that. She shot her gun at a trap too.
C’mon. They have been showing next to zero gameplay! Its all been ‘Slowly walk in a straight line and admire the scenery.’
She looks kinda like Carry Fisher…
