Solid Snake Asks A Lot Of Questions, Doesn't He?

Years ago I was playing Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes on my GameCube. My girlfriend — now wife — was laughing her ass off. "Why does this guy reframe everything as a question".

Honest to God, I wish I could unhear that sentence.

Metal Gear?

Once you notice it, you can't unnotice it.

This video is all about the questions that Solid Snake asks. So many questions. Since Metal Gear Solid is all about exposition, it makes sense. PLEASE TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS THING SECONDARY CHARACTER.

Metal Gear?

Card key?

Les Enfants Terrible?

Well, you get the picture.

I love Metal Gear Solid to death, more than is reasonable, but yeah.

Snake asks the questions the player is thinking.

"When is this bloody codec conversation going to end?!"

You hadn't noticed this before?! A vast majority of Snake's dialogue is just taking the last few words of the other person's dialogue and putting a question mark on the end.

And I wouldn't have it any other way! :D

You wouldn't have it any other way?

Can you tell me more about why you wouldn't have it any other way?

And my daily Internets Award goes to: this guy!

I'm playing through MGS again right now, to hype me up for TPP. Remembering why I loved this game so much. And it's all to do with story and dialogue!

METAL... GEARRRRRR. I just love the way that he always says Metal Gear like Bale's Batman.

You've got it all wrong. Bale copied Snake for his Batman voice.

METAL... GEARRRRRR. I just love the way that he always says Metal Gear like Bale's Batman.

The best exchange is still Naked Snake and Ocelot's first encounter.

    You're pretty good

    Pretty...good?
