TY The Tasmanian Tiger 4 Gets September Steam Release

A free iOS game was the last we heard of TY the Tasmanian Tiger, the home-grown and wildly popular franchise from Krome Studios. A few years later, the character has popped its head up again, this time in a PC game soon to be available via Steam.

Despite its newness on Valve’s distribution service, from all appearances TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 looks like the same game that’s been up on the Windows Store since 2013. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say it didn’t set the world on fire, as it’s only today I became aware of the fact it was a thing at all.

The feature list doesn’t appear to have changed much between the versions, though the Steam build does forgo the “asyncronous multiplayer”:

40 levels of adventures in the Australian Outback.
Multiple game modes: Adventure, Time Attack, Turkey Chase, and Danger Arena.
Defeat enemies by freezing, zapping, and more with many boomerangs to choose from.
Play as TY or his friends from Bush Rescue HQ.
TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 soundtrack included in the purchase!

I can’t blame Krome for having another crack on Steam — at the very least it’s a healthier market for games. Going by the Windows Store price, expect it to retail for $US6.99 (or $8.59 Australian).
