Giant Sushi Floats Through Osaka

Giant Sushi Floats Through Osaka

Damn. That’s some big effing sushi. But, you cannot eat this sushi. Not only is it too damn big, it’s inedible. Sorry!

It’s an art project called “Rolling Sushi” designed to look like conveyor belt sushi. This week, Rolling Sushi was floated through Osaka’s iconic Dotonbori river.

Fitting, because in 1958, Japan’s first conveyor belt sushi restaurant, Genrokuzushi, opened in Osaka.

This week was a test run to make sure they floated ok and how they responded when pulled by a boat. Rolling Sushi will be on display in Osaka from early to mid October.
