Hey Gordon, long time no see! When’s Half-Life 3 coming ou — oh. Yikes.
Player Swagmastavondagmasta recently discovered a very interesting easter egg in Mad Max: The Game That A Lot Of People Hate But I Love So There. As you might have suspected, it involves a tremendously dead Gordon Freeman.
First, go here:
Lodged in a cliff side area, you’ll find this handsome fella:
Note the glasses. Quite a fashion statement when paired — well, as paired as it gets when you’re missing an arm — with a crowbar, no?
And in case there was any doubt as to what it’s all referencing, pass your not-rotting-out-of-your-skull peepers over this nearby crate:
Dang. We were that close to getting Half-Life 3. This will come as sobering news to people who were certain the game would never come out before the world ended, but were quietly hopeful that it might launch after.

Ahhh that’s totally confirmation for Halflife 3, the sticker on the box to the left actually reads “Halflife 3 confirmed for 3rd quarter 2016” plus some other stuff go have a look ingame.
Sooooo, anyone else notice that it’s a right arm holding the crowbar and the corpse still has a right arm?… Idunno, maybe they just made the game with severed right arms only and this was what they had to make do with.
Considering the thumb placement, I’m pretty sure that is a left arm?
