There’s new DLC coming for everybody’s favourite car soccer game and the add-on will give a nod to Rocket League‘s obscure predecessor.
The name of the Revenge of the Battle-Cars pack references Psyonix’s previous release Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. The add-on will include two cars — Scarab and Zippy — from that game along with a bunch of new visual effects and customisation options:
- 2 New Classic SARPBC Cars (Scarab and Zippy)
- 12 New Decals (Six for Each New Car)
- 3 New Paint Types (Toon Glossy, Toon Matte, Toon Wood)
- 2 New Wheels (Scarab and Zippy)
- 2 New Rocket Boosts (Accelerato and Battle-Stars)
- 4 New Toppers (Cavalier, Locomotive, Pixelated Shades, Shark Fin)
- 2 New Antennas (Retro Balls from the Original Game)
- New Trophies (PS4) and Achievements (Steam)
Revenge of the Battle-Cars will cost $US3.99 when it hits next month.

Even though DLC for the game seems to be all cosmetic, and I could care less, I’ll be buying this.
Here, Psyonix, have some money. You’ve earned it.
I agree. I didn’t hesitate buying the first DLC just to support these guys. They can take my money any day.
Would really love to see some of the first game’s arenas make an appearance, they were fun.
They’ve said after this DLC they’re working on non standard arenas
Awesome, I didn’t know that.
The standard arena is cool, but the variations they had in SARPBC forced you to take the basic skills of the game and apply them a little differently for every level.
Can’t wait! Will be buying this DLC immediately.
