Square Enix has delayed Hitman from December to March 2016. “These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone.” Read more on their blog.

Hate to be cynical but WHAT A SURPRISE.
I’d rather they take their time to make the game they want to release. Maybe that extra time will not make a great game, it’s too early to tell, but at least its not some hastily-scrambled crap!
They really just want to put some more distance between their game and the movie.
EA recently delayed the PC release of Need For Speed to optimise it for PC specifically, which leads me to believe this may be an onflow from a.) The Steam Refunds option and b.) The Arkham Knight debacle. If this time is used to ensure quality and deliver a damn good game, the best it can be, so be it!
This has become a joke. Nearly every AAA game gets delayed these days. What dumb morons are coming up with these initial dates, that are never achievable? You might as well look at all release dates and add 3-6 months.
Batman.
