The Taken King's Cinematic Trailer Is Actually Cinematic

Guardians... your mother. Has been Taken.

It's also pretty cool. Say what you like about Destiny but it has a really good score. It also knows how to turn on the 'epic'. I played through most of Destiny's main story, but really have no idea what the hell is going on here. Still, I am feeling stirred. I am feeling like something important is happening here and that stakes are being raised.

It is a very good trailer. It also reminded me of the movie taken. Because a character said that things are being... TAKEN.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for more grinding of XP, I can tell you I don't have time. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for video games like you. If you give me a Gjallahorn right now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will buy it from Xur.

Can they hurry up and port this to PC already... Destiny looks great, but I just can't bring myself to play an FPS on a console.

a few friends of mine play using a XIM4 so they can use keyboard and mouse with their PS4s

Interesting... but expensive! Will probably just wait for the PC port.

Or in other words, you like to spend a fortune each year on your 'rig' and you can't use a controller.

Is this near mandatory yearly upgrade myth still a thing?

        Shots fired.

I spent under $1,000 on my last build maybe 6 months ago, and the PC I was replacing lasted over 5 years and didn't cost much more than that, was bought stock, and didn't get any upgrades in the interim.

Given the amount of work that got done on it as well, it was easily a better investment than a PS4/Xbone.

I could easily upgrade my graphics card every year with the money saved by buying grey-market steam codes. I upgraded my 2 year old GTX 770 to a 970 at the start of the year (by impulse, not necessity), after selling my 770 the upgrade only cost me $200. Considering online subscriptions for consoles are roughly $70 for 12 months it's pretty much paid for itself right there.

I feel the same way about PC controls. I can't imagine ever getting used to them and feeling comfortable playing FPS games with them.

As for a PC port, don't hold your breath. The chances of it happening would be close to zero. I'd say take the plunge and try the PS4 controller out, it's one of the best controllers released.

I have been waiting for this expansion, they have finally improved a lot with the original game! time to get the team back together to kick some alien ass.
Original story needs to be more clearer within the game, instead of reading everything up

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for story, I can tell you I don't have any, but what I do have are a very particular set of grinds. Grinds that make me a nightmare for people like you.
