This Week In Games: Time To Make More Mario

The pain of existence is insurmountable. It’s difficult to exist in this cruel universe.

Not to worry. Super Mario Maker comes out this week. It’s a sure sign of the end times. Nintendo is actually allowing this game to exist. We’re going to the rapture. Everything’s gonna be alright.

Armikrog (PC)

What is it? A point and click adventure game featuring clay animation.
Should you care? They had me at clay animated point and click adventure.

Dropsy (PC)

What is it? The weirdest point and click adventure game ever made. Wow.
Should you care? Yeah this is insane. Almost insane enough to check out.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX (3DS)

What is it? It’s a rhythm music game that makes me feel old and very white.
Should you care? People love this series. Like they really love it. If you’re one of those people, go nuts.

Impulse Revolution (PC)

What is it? A minimalistic racer that looks super, super good.
Should you care? I don’t know if I’ll actually get round to playing this, but it looks fantastic.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (PC)

What is it? I messed around with this weird game at… PAX Australia I think?
Should you care? I remember liking it a lot. This is weird and cool. Cool kids will enjoy this. ARE YOU A COOL KID?

Master Spy (PC)

What is it? It’s a stylish looking 2D platformer that really commits to its retro aesthetic.
Should you care? This looks super good. Keen to check it out myself.

Naught Reawakening (PC)

What is it? A mind-bending platformer where you can control the main character and his environment. This looks crazy.
Should you care? Yes, absolutely. This looks innovative, interesting and super slick.

Rugby League Live 3 (Xbox One/PS4)

What is it? Hey Rugby League is out this week! You know what it is.
Should you care? It’s never gonna be FIFA but it’s as good as you’re ever likely to get.

Super Mario Maker (Wii U)

What is it? It’s the end times. In video game form.
Should you care?

Tearaway Unfolded (PS4)

What is it? It’s kinda a remake of the criminally ignored Tearaway on PS Vita. But a bit more than that.
Should you care? Yeah I think it is. Part of me wants to recommend the PS Vita version instead, but this is still good.

What are you picking up this week? Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments!
