Chrono Trigger's Millenial Fair Looks Great in 3D

Dayshot: Chrono Trigger started out with a boy and a girl running into each other at a fair. Only, the fair I remember was way less 3D.

This piece of 3D fanart, built in Unreal Engine 4 by 3D modeler Michael Barrington, is a hand-painted recreation of the main and portal areas of the Guardia Millenial Fair. It took a bit over a month, and it ended up looking quite good, as the pics and the flythrough video show:

Ahh Chrono Trigger. My favourite game of all time till Bloodborne came out. How I loved you for so long. Michael Barrington. Respect!

    *drools* oh god

It's like they've taken a quick video out of an alternate (and much better) universe where Crono gets a faithful remake.

I suspect luminaire rendered in this would require me to change my pants.

I have the same feeling, but about Ayla. =P

cute, but now I just miss that old Chrono Resurrection video again :(
