I’m still playing Fallout 4. I suspect I’m not the only one.
It’s funny, because I’m enjoying Fallout 4. But I am definitely enjoying it in spite of itself. In spite of the clunky user interface, in spite of the fast travel system — which I don’t like. In spite of the fact that it run pretty badly on the PS4. Despite the fact it doesn’t really look that great. I’m enjoying in spite of all these things. Probably because the core of it is pretty damn solid.
Anyway, that’s what I’ll be playing this weekend, how about you guys and girls?

I will be continuing Fallout 4, but Grim Dawn has some new stuff in it so I will be multitasking!!
Ohh what’s new in GD? been a few weeks since i last booted that up.
Depending on how long ago you booted up, the most recent (yesterday) has brought in Act IV Part 1, Devotion skill set, and also level cap up to 60. So it is near completion!! Hoping on time for December and the summer holidays 😀
Samsies
Yup, Fallout 4. I did pick up Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis last night so I will try and find some time to knock it over, but after I wrap up a few small things in Fallout 4 I plan to start a second playthrough.
Wow! I was considering a second run until I realised I had an old save just before …a spoiler.
I’m trying to get the platinum trophy instead, or as you bonkers call it “all the cheevos”
Bonkers? Eh, I’ll just pretend I meant it & that’s what I think of people who bought an Xbox. No one ever took anything serious on the internet anyway.
I have a save from before the mission where you have to choose to get Beryllium agitator for either the Brotherhood or the Institute – I might pick up from there just to see what a pro-institute run looks.Yeah, that’s what I did. I honestly don’t have the time to start a complete new run.
There will be dlc eventually too D:
I’m impressed you can handle the idea of a second playthrough.
I like the game but I’m already getting a bit tired of it after only 20 hours or so. The cycle of shoot, loot and attempt to deal with my constantly overloaded inventory is becoming a bit of a drag to the point where I’m not sure I’ll even finish the game for the first time.
I suppose it’s an acquired taste. I personally found that since armor and weapons don’t degrade like in previous games there’s no reason to carry anything other than the essentials to enable me to loot mostly junk items for crafting and only pick up weapons once I had unlocked the scavenger perk and was heading back to camp anyway. This means a lot less ferrying stuff back and forth, and less hoarding in general. Once I figured out crafting and settlement building I wanted to start over to avoid my early mistakes.
Plus I like the setting, the story is alright, and there’s lots of wandering and discovery to do. Once I’m bored with Fallout 4, I might even install and play my free copy of Fallout 3.
Man, with the way I play – I wouldn’t even dream of playing through again. I’m so meticulous in my play-throughs, I’m at 70 hours and haven’t even hit diamond city 😛
I think I have 2 days 17 hours and I finished the playthrough several hours ago. It was pretty much a “dry run”. I didn’t know what to expect so I just trundled along. Now I want to do my “proper” playthrough where I scour the wasteland and do things “right”.
A little Disgaea 5 and SAO: Lost Song. There’ll also be some Vagrant Story and Crimson Shroud on the side.
Either relaxing or freaking out over my final class submissions.
I downloaded the Rainbow Six beta/demo (at this point it might be the full game, who knows) so I’ll see how it plays out. Looking into all the details, pricing and content, this game does not look ready. No campaign, only online (even terrorist hunt must connect to the servers) and a price tag of too much money for a game that I think will be getting extra content later with microtransactions. I don’t doubt the game will be fun, but with little content it really does seem like they should have dropped the price in half.
Still playing through New Vegas DLC. For some reason Old World Blues is taking a long time to finish. Then off to the final DLC.
Maybe work on some projects, which includes some Warmachine painting.
Ill have as bit of fun with the beta but dont see myself buying it – Closed beta was fun a month or so ago or whenever it came out – but a bore after an hour
Man that post was suspiciously free of vitriol kaiser!
Do you get into 40k or just regular? I’m a big fan of the 40k universe myself. I’m gonna check out that ravenous vs eisenhorn book this weekend.
I’m not vitriol. Just because I disagree with the direction 343 is taking the Halo franchise doesn’t mean I’m a cynical bastard.
and 40k sucks! Nobody can understand those shitty rules! Warmachine is way better! More intense with more strategy! Takes more skill than some luck confusion!
Well it is pretty hard not to be cynical about a lot of things in general these days so no harm no foul if you are!
Yeh I’ve heard that about 40k I’ve got some mates that play. I just dig the universe itself, there’s no way I could fit the game into my budget with all my other obsessions groan.
Much as I hate to be torn away from Fallout 4, playing a 12 hour session of Pathfinder so it’s tabletop all the way this weekend.
Fallout4 all sat night as my wife is out at a cosplay party.
Where is this party? I’ll go keep your wife’s friends company…
Wife and Cosplay, I will never see those two together. Kudos to you!
I finished a game last weekend as hoped (Lords of the Fallen)!
But then I bought two games: Bloodborne – The Old Hunters and Borderlands – the Handsome Jack Collection.
And so the cycle continues.
But Bloodborne… so good… took an hour or so to get back into the groove, but it’s lightyears ahead of the combat in Lords of the Fallen. I have to refight Vicar Amelia to get to the DLC and find some crazy guy who will induct me into a new faction to summon guys and it’s all arcane and I’m loving it.
How great is Lords of the Fallen! I love that game. Very underrated.
It was pretty good. An admirable attempt at adapting Dark Souls, but it’s no Dark Souls. I enjoyed the environment and a lot of the combat for the first half or so. However, a few of the design choices took away the feeling of danger that Souls has, and the enemy variety was pretty crap. By the end I found that spamming the gauntlet’s long range attack was pretty much a guaranteed winner, yet trying to go toe-to-toe was futile. I don’t have any interest in going through again for NG+.
By contrast, going back to fighting in Bloodborne just felt right. That’s definitely more my speed.
Interesting. I just hate the fact that you have to fight through 10-15mins of trash mobs every single time to redo a boss fight. Lords of the Fallen gave you checkpoints outside boss areas which was much better.
If I get time either Star Wars: Battlefront or Just Cause 2. Maybe some Clicker Heroes as well.
I happily paused Fallout for Bloodborne: Old Hunters. Dis game <3
Battlefront tonight followed by camping tomorrow and Sunday and then back to Battlefront Sunday night.
Ice Hockey, Starcraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm…. just like every other day.
Yeah, Fallout 4. 4 days worth of play.
Also, replaying Final Fantasy VIII for the infiniteth time
fallout 4. I think the interface is fine and haven’t had performance issues but I agree the fast travel system makes the world feel small. Also just in general what looks like a decent distance on my map always seems to be real short and just chock full of enemies. Breaks the immersion a little when every building that’s a stones throw away has a new set of different enemies that miraculously live fine as neighbours but want to kill me.
Still I’m hooked and loving it.
I don’t really mind the fast travel system – it is optional after all. I only use it when returning home to upgrade gear. After that, I hoof it out to where I was before.
I would agree though that the UI is trash. That’s my biggest gripe. But damn is it entertaining.
Yeah for me it’s not so much the fast travel on it’s own but once I fast travel to a location it has a congested and over populated feel. I don’t get a wasteland feeling and when I’m walking to an epic fight for a mission it feels oddly like filler when I have to pass/fight 3 different groups of raiders/super mutants/animals who just happen to live right next to a different hostile faction.
Like I said I’m really enjoying the game and aside from minor bugs that’s my only complaint. I find the UI works fine, I can read and understand it all and it’s got an aesthetic that fits the theme of the game really well imo.
I seriously don’t understand what’s wrong with the UI and haven’t encountered any issues on ps4 – so Fallout 4 all weekend for me!
me either. seen people saying it’s confusing or ugly but I think it’s fine.
Fallout 4 interspersed with Destiny. Gotta get back to Life is Strange now my PC works again, but Fallout’s got me surprisingly hooked. Have no idea why, but suddenly I seem to be stumbling over Super Mutants and Deathclaws no matter where I go…
Bloodborne the Old Hunters. Once I’ve finished that straight back to Fallout 4. Probably a round or two of Rocket League. Still love that game.
Fallout 4. I WILL achieve something other than adding to my mansion in Sanctuary. 20hrs into the damn game and I’ve done maybe a half dozen quests.
Are you sure? You could really use a pool room
Thats what I’m building now. Not going to use uncle google, finding a full set of 1-15 pool balls is part of the challenge.
Just hope I didnt trash too many of them on the way through.
Fallout 4….every weekend from now till probably some point next year.
Still can’t get back on my PS4 so whatever I can on 3DS. I’ll go shopping after work a new 3DS game thanks to the recommendations from a few guys here last week.
What are you looking at for the 3DS, currently looking for something to break up MH4U
Shin Megami Tensei IV or Persona Q look the most up my alley. It’ll definitely be one of those two thanks to @germinalconsequence and @zambayoshi.
Fallout 4 because I like being all sneaky sneak and roaming around the wasteland with my best bud Curie at my side. Although I did puck up tales from the borderland so I might give that a spin as well once I’m drunk enough
“puck up”? Either you’re from NZ or you are drunk enough already. 😛
Need to get back on Fallout 4. Been sidetracked by a million other things, and was dumb enough to fire up Bloodborne last night too. This will be all-consuming, I can tell.
Fallout. maybe BLoodborne.
Probably Crusader Kings.
Hand of fate has new content released for it so might have a look at that
Will probably try to knock over AC, should be pretty much at the end
Finishing the last episode of Telltale’s Game Of Thrones, then Fallout 4.
Well no Halo 5 yet so probably Far Cry 4 which I put back in the machine the other day, and definitely more Dark Souls II (have been running around Iron Keep co-op-ing as a risk free way of sussing out the level and still accumulate souls – once I learned how to dispatch Armourer Dennis and Fencer Sharon it became a lot more pleasant!
So much more Fallout 4. Fallout 4 AAAAAAAALLL weeke– oh nerts. Gonna go hang out on Saturday with a bunch of people I like. Dammit. That’s less Fallout 4 time. Oh well. Sacrifices must be made.
I agree. Sacrifice them…
The Steam Sale has dropped Rocket League down to a less painful price. I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger on that. I’ll also be buying the DeLorean because it’s a DeLorean.
I am also considering this. It stays up on my front page each time i load up steam. Taunting me…
Rocket League was worth the price before, trust me.
Definitely worth the price now.
Only issue you will have is that people will likely be really good compared to when they started, so you are going to realllllly suck to begin with. But hey, that’s half the fun!
Might spend some quality time with the family as it’s the lull before the Just Cause 3 storm.
WOOOOOOOOOOO Nerd weekend!!!
Have Boardgames tomorow night (Game of Thrones for the first time :O) then hobby stuff all Sunday in preparation for CanCon next year. So playing with my toy soldiers (converting/painting).
There will be intermittent Fallout 4 because damn you Fallout, you’re still so fun.
I am playing GoT for the first time on Saturday also!
And also continuing Fallout 4.
Good luck! All of us are beginners so it should be interesting…
I’ve started a pile of shame crusade starting with the oldest game on my pile, GTA: SA. If I finish that (doubtful, only just finished the countryside missions) I’ll move on to Red Dead Redemption 🙂
Fallout 4 woo and also siege beta and getting ready for just cause 3 next week
Possibly GRID 2 and DIRT Rally.
Rocket league and battlefront when my mates are online and fallout for the rest. Haven’t had any performance issues/glitches on ps4 and I’m 60 hours in (other than the usual frame drops)
I’m going interstate this weekend, so I’ll be playing a some Hearthstone on my tablet and catching up on episodes of Last Ship.
Fallout 4…I will miss you *sniff*
Had a strange urge to start Dragon Age: Inquisition again this morning. Currently installing/updating/downloading it and the dlc while I’m at work.
So probably that, Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Fallout 4 but I’m starting to get a bit bored with it. I would really like to dive into some of the new indie games i picked up from the steam sale but i feel i should finish fallout first.
My best mate from high school is coming over…. so backgammon. All night long, or until he gets drunk and needs to go to bed, then Fallout 4. lol.
im confused, is there some other game to play than fallout 4? ill probably be putting a new head gasket in my car this weekend. plus a couple more hours of fallout.
Nothing.
Only just purchased my Xbone and Fo4 2 weeks ago and still haven’t been home on a weekend to play a good session! Going away to see the inlaws this weekend. Has to wait another week. Dammit.
I’m going to be playing Fallout 4. But I’ll likely be picking up Diablo 3 + ROS today. Unless someone talks me out of it. Is it worth picking up?
I feel like I might be the only one on the planet who stopped playing fallout 4 so I could start ac syndicate when it came out on pc. I’ve played maybe 6-7 hours of it so far and it’s really good. I’m finding it runs buggier on my pc than unity did which is a bit weird, but tbh I didn’t have any problems with unity when I picked it up 3-4 months after release so I feel like patches are incoming. After I finish it though I’ll be jumping straight back to fallout 4 and Arkham Knight (which I hear they just released another patch for so I have high hopes).
Fallout 4 and Battlefront.
I’ll be trying to get past that awkward phase of Fallout 4 where I don’t have the stats for stealth to be viable. It’s a bit rough going from Rise of the Tomb Raider and MGSV to something where stealth is stat based.
finally finished the main missions in GTAV, so probably just keep doing the optional stuff maybe…. if i can be bothered.
*That, and rock climbing.
Ace combat 4,5,0,6. Just finished the Witcher 3 and expansion. Waiting for Just cause 3
I’m a bit all over the place. Finished LittleBigPlanet Vita and now I’m an hour or so into Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. I’ve got a serious Star Wars Battlefront hankering going on (it’s so much fun). I’ve continued my Mass Effect replay and am into ME2 now with my paragade broshep infiltrator. Sleeping Dogs is about 1/3 done, and there’s always (always) Miku of some form on some machine.
Just picked up fallout 4 i have a 3 day weekend
