Call of Duty: Black Ops III

The latest CoD’s first mission — which was already part of a memorable solo experience — left quite the impression on Mike. In his review, he also talked about the good times he had with the multiplayer and zombie modes. Luke, on the other hand, noted some problems with the game’s PC version.

Fallout 4

Since the game came out on November 10, we put over forty posts on the site that are in some way related to it — but in case that’s not proof enough of Fallout 4’s sinks-your-claws-into-you-and-doesn’t-let-go-iness, then here’s a review from Patricia, and impressions from Chris. But, as with every early Bethesda release, beware of bugs.

For a game about causing pain to children (so they “learn”), Mike found this chibi Phantasy Star Online-like is pretty good.

It’s XCOM with cowboys, but it’s not just XCOM with cowboys, because in some ways, it’s more than that. In any case, Nathan had a good time with it.

Kara no Shojo: The Second Episode

A murder mystery violent visual novel that takes place in the late fifties. Richard thought this made for an interesting handicap.

LEGO Dimensions: Doctor Who Level Pack

This LEGO Dimensions level pack is basically another episode of Doctor Who, which Mike thought was brilliant. And fantastic. Molto bene.

Mordheim: City of the Damned

A brutal, Warhammer-flavored, random generation-filled, turn-based tactics game that Mike really liked.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Evan, in his review, found Rise of the Tomb Raider to be a bigger and better version of the first (“first”) Tomb Raider that just felt good to explore — which resulted in a Yes.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void

Legacy of the Void put StarCraft II’s multiplayer in a pretty good place, and the game itself, Jason though, was just fun. The story had issues, though.

Star Wars: Battlefront

Nathan played it and thought it was good for lots of goofy, Star Warsy fun to be had — but not much else. For now.

Superbeat: Xonic

A weird and wonderfully challenging rhythm game that Mike really liked.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut

A Diablo clone — or rather, in Mike’s words, an excellent gothic horror action role-playing game — that luckily has nothing to do with Hugh Jackman’s Van Helsing.

The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure

A solid little platformer for parents and children, according to Mike’s experience.

The Room 3

A great puzzle game follows two similarly great puzzle games in this iOS series. Stephen had a good time with the third entry.
