LEGO Marvel Avengers is a massive game packed with iconic comic book characters. It will just be a bit more massive on PlayStation 3 and 4 when it launches later this month. And with Ant-Man involved, a bit smaller as well.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog, gamers that grab LEGO Marvel Avengers for PlayStation consoles when it launches on January 27 (or any time after that) will get also score free downloadable content based on Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man.
Since Civil War isn’t out for a while, all players are getting there is a character pack featuring Captain America, Iron Man (Mark 46 armour), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Crossbones and Agent 13 (Sharon Carter).
On the Ant-Man front there’s a combination level and character pack. It comes with a playable stage that will probably feature lots of being small, as well as eleven characters, which seems like more than were in the actual movie. Two Ant-Men (Hank Pym and Scott Lang), The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), Ant-Thony the flying ant, Cassie Lang (really?), Yellowjacket, Luis and then unmasked versions of Hank, Scott and Darren Cross. So really nine characters with three costume changes and a couple of stretches. That makes much more sense.
Players on other platforms should be able to buy this stuff once they’re done feeling bad about this whole situation. LEGO Marvel Avengers launches on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Vita and 3DS on January 27.

Every day I give more and more consideration to using my Xbox as a decorative paperweight. I thought Phil Spencer was doing a sensational job salvaging the damage that Mattrick had done, but it seems that stitching up deals with third parties (like this one) is still a bridge too far, likely because publishers want to go with the ‘winning team’.
What are you taking about? They have plenty of deals with third party, tomb raider, the division, Homefront. But stuff like this needs to stop, it hurts the consumer.
What are these other deals (with the exception of Tomb Raider)? I haven’t heard of anything special for The Division … considering it’s Ubisoft who are pretty much in bed with Sony.
They have exclusive dlc, and they get all expansions first, there is dead rising 3 only console you can get it in is Xbox. Same with titanfall Homefront beta exclusive to Xbox the list goes on and on both sides do it nothing new
Good. This pleases me somewhat. You may have saved my console for at least another week.
Yeah the level of exclusive content deals this generation really is getting out of hand when suddenly Lego games are doing it.
Looking forward to the X-Men and Fantastic Four content. Oh wait, there is none.
