How I’ve missed you, Bo’ Rai Cho. Alien, Leatherface, Triborg — those guys want to kill me. You just want to get drunk, throw up on me and maybe fart in my face. It’s like they made my older brother a Mortal Kombat character.
Good old Bo’ Rai Cho is one of the four new fighters coming to MKX as part of Kombat Pack 2, the next wave of downloadable content. And while he may be my favourite, I can’t help but admire how Netherrealm used the game’s three-styles for each fighter mechanic to cram the three cyborg characters into one.
Let’s watch them hurt people!
Along with the four new characters, players who purchase Kombat Pack 2 also get access to Goro, previously a preorder exclusive, and a host of costumes and such, including:
- Apocalypse Pack – The Apocalypse Pack features three new character skins, reimagining characters Takeda, D’Vorah and Erron Black with an apocalyptic theme.
- Brazil Pack – The Brazil Pack features three new character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang and Gaucho Kung Lao.
- Kold War Pack – The Kold War Pack includes three new character skins: Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero and Revolution Kano.
- Kold War Scorpion – Kold War-themed Scorpion character skin.
All of this goodness should be dropping in early 2016, which it already is. So not this early, but still early 2016.

No mention on the new background stage?
I’m a bit bummed out that they still used vomit and farting for Bo’ Rai Cho. Also, Leatherfaces design still seems off to me.
Sadly the Brazil Pack, Kold War Pack and Kold War Scorpion were all released separately as DLC last year, presumably meaning those that have already paid premium for these three items are set to get stiffed.
People who bought something as soon as it was released paid more than people who bought it months later? Say it’s not so!
@saltminer has a point. As in its shitty they are adding old things to the new Kombat Pack that people already bought. If anything they should be including new consumes in the New Kombat Pack then sell those separately after the Kombat Pack is released.
Have they fixed the jarring 30 fps frame rate cap during fatalities and X-rays yet?
