If you’ve ever played any Street Fighter at all in your life, the name Justin Wong will probably ring a bell. Even if you haven’t played Street Fighter or any fighting games, you’ve probably heard the name before. The 30-year-old EVO champion has been the focus of various documentaries, and he’s long been held up as the last line of defence for North America’s fighting game community.
On top of that, he’s a good guy. And that image has only been further strengthened today, with the multi-title champion releasing his list of combos for Street Fighter 5 — for every single character.
The Evil Geniuses player has made everything available through Google Docs, with simple universal, advanced and crush counter combos for every character. It’s not a full, exhaustive breakdown for each character, nor is it a comprehensive summary of the strengths or weaknesses of each of those characters.
If you’re looking for tips on how individual characters actually play, Wong hasn’t provided that either. This is simply just a starting point for people when it comes to learning combos for the characters, something you can work off before building around matchups, overall strategy and your general playstyle.
But what a starting point. Here’s the full list:
These are my personal combos with the character. They may not be the best but these are combos that will help you learn the game and create your own combos in the future.

Never heard of him
You’ve never heard of Justin Wong? crazy
Atleast tell me you’ve seen evo moment 37?
What’s evo?
I’ve been a Street Fighter pro for years and I’ve never heard of this guy. Guess you just need to call yourself a pro, submit something to Kotaku and it’ll get published.
Guessing he’s just some online scrub who’s trying to make a name for himself. Whatever. Let’s give him his 15 minutes of fame.
OK, I’ll bite. Have a look and let me know if you think this is the record of “some online scrub” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Wong
^ sounds like someone got beat at street fighter one too many time
Hook, line, sinker from the author no less.
Anyone who’s heard of Street Fighter or Marvel has probably heard of jwonggg.
I also like how Kotaku loves to post a shit tonne of negative articles about Street Fighter 5. Whenever something bad happens in the FGC, Kotaku is all over it. Article for the negative user reviews and other crap.
And this time I’m not trolling, that’s the truth.
While the opening sentence is hyperbole, if you follow the fighting game community and haven’t heard of Justin Wong…. Have you heard of Daigo “The Beast”? Justin is the guy that is famous for losing to Daigo in an absolutely epic finale. Justin went on to win a lot of events in the following 7 years and is basically fighting game royalty.
