This week Pokemon will fight each other in Pokken Tournament and human beings will fight each other in EA Sports UFC
Maybe one day they’ll combine the two. I reckon Pikachu would dominate the flyweight division.
Candlelight (PC)
What is it? A platformer about being a candle and re-lighting the world.
Should you care? Looks decent. Good production values. Hardly going to ‘light’ the world on fire, but it doesn’t look terrible.
Deadbolt (PC)
What is it? A 2D stealth action game that’s about doling out brutal death sentences as the Grim Reaper.
Should you care? This looks really smooth, really rewarding and slick. I’d give this a bash.
EA Sports UFC 2 (Xbox One/PS4)
What is it? It’s EA’s third go round at an MMA game and their second go at a UFC licensed game.
Should you care? If you’re a fan of MMA this is the big release of the week.
My Tower, My Home (PC)
What is it? It’s a tower defence game mixed with like… Metal Slug.
Should you care? That sounds cool to me. It also looks a little bit cool. Check it out.
Nanobots (PC)
What is it? A game about destroying robots. Part puzzle game part twitch… thing. Just watch the trailer!
Should you care? This looks super basic, but I could see myself having a good time with this.
Pokken Tournament (Wii U)
What is it? It’s Pokemon. Fighting each other. Like actually fighting.
Should you care? There’s been a lot of hype and excitement around this game, but I have no idea if it’s going to be good or not.
PRiO (PC)
What is it? A gorgeous, super difficult 2D platformer that’s also dazzlingly original. Damn, this looks amazing.
Should you care? Yes. I can’t describe this. It’s abstract, mental and looks great.
Prison Run and Gun (PC)
What is it? It’s like Broforce, except you’re escaping a prison. And doing hardcore platform stuff.
Should you care? This looks extremely well made.
Salt & Sanctuary (PS4/PS Vita)
What is it? This is a 2D Dark Souls game. That’s about the size of it.
Should you care? I am keen, obviously. Totally going to check this out.
Sparkle ZERO (PC)
What is it? This is a game like Flow or like Spore, where you eat things to become bigger.
Should you care? It doesn’t look terrible. But yeah… you’ve played this kind of thing before.
Did we miss anything? What are you picking up this week?

Salt & Sanctuary’s Vita version won’t be out until later this year, as is the PC version.
D’oh! Thanks for the heads up.
Good news is though that it should be immediately cross-buy when it’s available which is great if you have a PS4 and buy it now, but not so great if you just have a Vita.
Pokken Tournament comes out this week on PC?
Holy crap I whine every week about how this site neglects anything to do with Nintendo but continues to fellate the PC demo.
That Pokken on PC thing has got to be a wind-up surely 😀
Definitely going to check out Salt & Sanctuary. Looks really good from what I have seen.
