As I've said, we are currently living in a golden age of turn-based video games. The latest example (well, potential example) of this is Wartile.
It's a turn-based tactics game that's been designed to be "a living and breathing tabletop video game", combining the flexibility and visuals of a video game with the nuts and bolts of something you'd usually roll dice for.
Not the first time a game has tried this, nor will it be the last, but holy shit will you get a load of how pretty this game is, in particular those stages/levels. It looks like the tabletop terrain collection of the world's most discerning tabletop billionaire.
There's a playable demo available on the game's Kickstarter page if you want to check it out.
