As I’ve said, we are currently living in a golden age of turn-based video games. The latest example (well, potential example) of this is Wartile.
It’s a turn-based tactics game that’s been designed to be “a living and breathing tabletop video game”, combining the flexibility and visuals of a video game with the nuts and bolts of something you’d usually roll dice for.
Not the first time a game has tried this, nor will it be the last, but holy shit will you get a load of how pretty this game is, in particular those stages/levels. It looks like the tabletop terrain collection of the world’s most discerning tabletop billionaire.
There’s a playable demo available on the game’s Kickstarter page if you want to check it out.

As the Britons of old awaited for Arthur’s return, we tactics gaming faithful have been yearning for decades for the return of of FFT. Could this be it?
