There’s been rumblings of an EVE Online television show for a couple of years now, but at the recent EVE Fanfest 2016, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CCP Games’ CEO, confirmed that they’re actively working on an adaptation.
Wired.co.uk reported that at the convention, Pétursson believed that they had some traction on a television show, and that “We’re actually exploring that with Ridley Scott’s production company and Baltasar Kormákur, an Icelandic director.”
Kormákur was attached to the earlier reports of the television show from 2013, although it’s interesting to see that Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions is involved – this could be excellent news, as they have done some outstanding television productions, including Man in the High Castle and Halo: Nightfall.
The EVE Online world is also ripe for possibilities, with 21,000 years of human history to draw from, not to mention some incredible battles that have played out in recent years.

So that equals 9/10 episodes of shit talking in local followed by a season climax featuring 2 minutes worth of ganking a couple of Ventures stupid enough to swing through nullsec followed by more shit talk in local?
I’m in.
The season finale is a 5 minute fight time dilated to 50 minutes at 10% speed because the server can’t handle it.
I think it will be more plot based, and have its story’s ripped from the lore of EVE. Ala, the rise and fall of BoB would be a good place to start.
