Video: We actually haven’t seen that much of the “war” in the upcoming Warcraft movie yet, but this new trailer seems to be trying to make up for that by showing you a cornucopia of people and orcs getting hacked, shanked and hammered.
Conversely, the new trailer doesn’t really add that much in telling us about the story — orcs are invading, orcs bad, fight orcs, no wait some orcs are good! — but it gives us a better look at some of the more fantastical elements of the world of Azeroth, like magic and Dwarves, and a bit more of Paula Patton’s half-orc Garona kicking butt and taking names.
I’m still holding out hope that Warcraft is a fun recreation of a classic gaming series — but man, these trailers are really not helping. That soundtrack is just abysmal.

The marketing for this film is being handled so piss poorly that even Duncan Jones is slamming it on Twitter

Such a real shame that this movie will likely flop due to the piss poor way they’re handling the promotional material. The posters are so boring/generic, and the trailers are the same footage just re-cut over and over with a few seconds of additional content.
yeah its almost as if paramount want it to fail because they are the one in charge of marketing it
Its PG. There shouldnt even be blood in the film. Its a cartoon.
Yeah looks like a bunch of tired CGI nonsense.
And I’m a fan of Warcraft…
Man… I love Duncan Jones’ work so far. Moon was great, Source Code was good except for its name and ending.
But this looks about as good as Uwe Boll’s Dungeon Seige movie. At least that had Jason Statham doing some surprisingly good, if entirely out of place, Power-Rangers-esque fight scenes.
I’m really, really hoping this just has terrible marketing.

From Duncan Jones himself, the marketing team is butchering his film.
Certainly the soundtrack, though that’s not my only concern with the trailers.
Warcraft is set in a pretty generic fantasy world, and fantasy never really comes across well in trailers that take clips out of context. Jones is the only reason I have any hope for this.
$20 bet that their will be some sort of “LEROY JENKINS” gag
I think I would rather watch a feature length animated movie from blizzard like their cinematics.
I’m pretty sure that would be ungodly expensive and, considering the perfectionists that Blizzard are, would take 8 years and be scrapped and restarted three times to come out.
This is true I could though resort to watching all the cinematics from the start, that is like a movie right?
the fuck’s up with that shitty music…
