DC Reveals Its New Rebirth Superhero Costumes

Although we’ve had some brief (and err, revealing) looks at some of the designs being used in DC’s upcoming Rebirth shakeup, this is our best look yet at some of the new looks the DC multiverse’s finest are going to be running around in in a few months.

Revealed through Comic Book Resources, official design sketches for Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc and the new kid-hero duo of Jonathan White and Damien Wayne. Check them out:

There’s some obvious movie influences in there for both Superman and Wonder Woman, whose look is very much inspired by Gal Gadot’s Batman v Superman costume. Batman, on the other hand, seems to eschew the latest movie iteration quite heavily — and is not exactly a “new” costume, having made its debut in the final issues of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s run on Batman:

Rounding out the list of reveals are Aquaman (who’s developed an adoration for extraneous fins on his gear, apparently); Jon and Damien in their Robin and “kid Superman” get ups; Jessica Cruz’s much more traditional Lantern suit; and… well, I’m not really sure what to say about Harley’s new design.

Sheesh. Still, a noticeable improvement on some of these character’s most recent makeovers.

  • These look okay, for the most part. I lost track of the 52 era. Must catch up before this new lot come out.

  • Giving Wonder Woman a sword and shield is such crap. So much for Diana being a scientist and a healer.

    • You can be a scientist and be a medic still, they’re not mutually exclusive in fantasy or real life

  • welp new 52 didn’t last long.
back to their original costumes and continuity is a fucking mess

    • Theyre not the originals though yet… give them two more years, another reboot and we’ll get a “classic” reboot back to the entire start.

  • They just really can’t figure out what they want to do with Harley can they.
