"Aircraft camouflage is the use of camouflage, typically in the form of light and color patterns, applied to military aircraft to make them more difficult to see on the ground, in the air, or to make their speed, distance or attitude harder to determine."

Most military aircraft are destroyed when they're on the ground, which is why most camouflage on fighter jets are ground type patterns (when they have it).

Camo is still needed, nothing really stops a Mk1 Eyeball from seeing you

It'll make it easier to distinguish between military and civilian planes.

The camo is used for reducing visibility when on the ground, say satellite spying. In the sky the only camo that is needed (for the most part) is radar camo.
