Someone Is Making A Game Based On The Steam Summer Sale

If rumours from a person who’s usually not wrong are to be believed, the Steam Summer Sale starts on June 23 and ends on July 4. But does it have to end? Ever? Does it really?

SwagPaladin has put together an admittedly rudimentary looking game that is, well, the Steam Summer Sale. It’s currently on Steam Greenlight. In it, you can “buy” fake games, play them, and, uh, do other stuff.

Here’s what it looks like:

And here’s what it’s about:

Experience Summer Sale without losing money. Buy games that you like or those that you don’t. Be the cool guy that owns every game in store. Customise your game as you like. Change colours and widget locations. Don’t like default game colour? Then CHANGE it without any microtransactions. Non stop SUMMER SALE even in winter, autumn, and spring.

There will be minigames and an in-game browser. It’s super dumb. It’s a clear grab for attention on a service that’s got serious issues. I got a chuckle out of it.

It probably doesn’t deserve to be on Steam, but some small part of me wants to purchase Steam Summer Sale: The Game during the Steam Summer Sale. Does that make me a bad person? I will not be mad if you say “yes”.
