DOOM also comes out this week. A big week for big releases, but outside of those three? It’s slim pickings.
DOOM (Xbox One/PS4/PC)
What is it? It’s DOOM people. The new one.
Should you care? Well, I mean you should care. Is it any good? The jury is still out on that one.
Neon Drive (PC)
What is it? An exercise in pure nostalgia. It’s like a modern version of those ‘lane’ racers you used to play when you were a kid. If you’re like me and you’re old as shit.
Should you care? IT LOOKS SO COOL I WANT THIS.
Rocket Fist (PC)
What is it? I hadn’t heard of this game until like two seconds ago. It’s an arena battler with explosive fists. Think Bomberman with punching.
Should you care? It actually looks like a
Stellaris (PC)
What is it? A strategy game thing for people who love strategy games like XCOM or Civilization. Which is basically everyone reading this post.
Should you care? Oh yes. Very much yes. I am hearing this game is very, very good indeed.
Trawl (PC)
What is it? Okay, so this is a game about operating a trawler. It looks super weird but interesting.
Should you care? I am very curious about this game. Worth checking out for sure.
Uncharted 4 (PS4)
What is it? It’s a big deal.
Should you care? Yes. It’s very good. Probably one of the best looking games ever made, and insanely polished. I like it a lot.
Warhammer 40,000: Carnage Champions (PC)
What is it? Man there really are a lot of these Warhammer games coming out recently.
Should you care? Sure, if you’re super into the universe? Why not.

As for Doom, I’m happy to leave that until after the reviews have hit. Pre-release review embargoes always worry me, if you have faith that what you have is a quality product surely you want that fact out there and generating pre-release hype? I really do hope it’s good.
I’d be keen to hear if anyone’s done a wide study based on MC values or something for games that had embargoes. I can’t recall a single game that had an embargo that didn’t end up being a total turd of a game…

Got my collectors edition paid off, it sucks no one breaks street date anymore, wouldn’t mind picking it up Thursday evening.
Stupid bloody Uncharted not coming out today 🙁 Had today off and was up at the shops but no one would sell it to me. Now I have to wait until the weekend 🙁
