The ropes were there for a reason. That reason was to keep children from knocking this Zootopia statue over.

As NetEase and ShanghaiIst report, a builder named Zhao spent three days building a Nick Wilde from Zoopotia statue, apparently using thousands of dollars worth of LEGO.

The statue, ShanghaiIst states, went up at a shopping centre in Ningbo, China, and just an hour after it was shown on the first exhibition day, a child apparently climbed under the ropes and knocked the piece over.

Zhao was as understanding as one could be, saying the child could have no idea how much time, effort and money went into the statue. He added that the shopping centre employees were partially to blame. The child’s parents apologised, and Zhao said he didn’t want any compensation for what happened.

China? Child causing a disturbance? Ayup 😛
Do we really need another reason to kill every child in the world? Future generations will be better off without them.
Wait… I….you…..I….
*head explodes*
I really do hate kids.
You hate poorly brought up kids who are shits in public and you therefore notice.
It’s really the fault of shitty parents.
Just this week my wife witnessed
“Sit down to drink that. Sit down. Sit down to drink that. Sit down. Ok, don’t spill it”.
Idiot.
nonono… Accidents happen!
Should have seen it coming. I would have (1) used metal supporting rods inside the superstructure, (2) glued everything together and (3) bolted the sculpture to an immovable (for a child) base. Even then, you’d be wise to put a plexiglas barrier around it.
you’re right, a base plate atleast with some metal rods to stop it from tipping. after looking at the build pictures it doesn’t exactly look stable. I don’t know how effective glue would have been though, I’m sure it still would have broken under its own weight hitting floor and probably broken the bricks in such a way that it would make repairs more difficult. from what I’ve read on other websites though he did have portions of it glued together and salvaged about 30% of it.
Dammit child.. But yeah why the hell would you not use glue?
Because Cragle is bad!
i hope is optical drive still opens ..
Oh its definitely open, but I don’t think its gonna close again anytime soon.
Am I the only one who wants to see a video of it being smashed?
Obviously this is a cover up. The real truth is that the shopping center employees shot the fox because they were afraid for the boy’s life and didn’t think tranq darts would work fast enough.
