Overwatch’s Competitive Mode Launches On PC Today

Good news for people who aren’t terrible at Overwatch: Blizzard has announced that Overwatch’s competitive mode is finally launching on PC today! The console version launches sometime next week.

As you may already be aware: the competitive mode is being divided into seasons. The first competitive season will last under two months, but the plan is to have subsequent seasons last three months.

Why PC first? Apparently the Battle.net allows Blizzard to be more agile on PC, which makes sense since Blizzard will have to make its systems work on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. Blizzard mentioned that it’s hoping to be more efficient in the future with patches across all platforms to ensure parity with timeframes.
