Making it’s U.S. debut at Anime Expo this weekend, 1000toys’ 35 Mechatro WeGo & Hatsune Miku figure is Frederator Studios’ take on Japan’s popular virtual idol. So of course, celery stick-wielding mech.
Frederator’s signature blend of sweet and innocent with a side of lurking crazy shines through in this design. On one hand, aww she’s so cute. On the other, she’s just a bad day away from a robot rampage. The best of both worlds, if you ask me.
Good Smile Company subsidiary Ultra Tokyo Connection are the official distributor of the sweet collaboration in the States, and they’re bringing just 200 to Anime Expo 2016 in Los Angeles this weekend to get things started. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by the Good Smile Booth and wave to the empty space where the $50 used to be. Then go home and wait for them to hit stores hopefully sometime this year.
