Pokémon Go Plus Delayed To September

Pokémon Go Plus Delayed To September

Nintendo planned to release the Pokémon Go Plus accessory at the end of this month. Today, however, the company announced that it will be pushed back to September.

The Pokémon Go Plus connects to smartphones and allows players to carry out certain Pokémon Go actions and alerts players of nearby Pocket Monsters and PokéStops via vibrations and a flashing LED.

Via Facebook, Nintendo issued the following statement:

The Pokémon GO Plus accessory will now be released in September 2016 instead of the originally expected end of July launch date. Thanks for your patience, trainers.

No reason has been given for the delay. Kotaku is following up with Nintendo.
