Welp. Maybe the Endless Knot was a little too hard. I’ll explain what game it was from after the jump, but for now here’s a fresh ScribbleTaku to go into the weekend with.
As for the last couple of days, the game was Ishido: The Way of Stones. The game was released on a lot of platforms between 1989 and 1994, including the Famicom, Atari Lynx, SEGA Genesis, PC, Mac and NES.
The scribble used doesn’t appear on the game’s box art or the opening screens, but it does appear on the loading screen for the PC version, which you can check for yourself by loading up the game through the Internet Archive:
So in that respect, maybe it was a bit too hard. But no hints or even subtle pokes in the right direction for today’s one. I don’t think you’ll need it, even with my crappy drawing aside.
Oh and the very obvious text on the other side of the page? That’s not related at all. Good luck!

I ACTUALLY HAVE THAT GAME FOR THE LYNX!
As for todays, U-four-ia on the NES?
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle maybe???
Actually it’s, Alex Kidd in Miracle World.
Specifically, the reaper that would pop out of a question box or skull box.
Damn, so close.
Yeah, that ledge screams Alex Kidd in Miracle World but the vague outline of a grim reaper didn’t trigger anything concrete. I forgot all about the reaper ghost.
Alex Kidd in Miracle World.
You know how many lives I lost to that damn thing?

@finishedlast, @crazyguy1990 within a minute of each other, well done!
In case Alex has incorrectly announced the correct game 😛
I am going with Whack a Mole in particular the one you find in really dodgy arcades that you just know the guy that runs it dresses up as a clown on some weekends to “entertain” little kiddies.
That would be from the very first level as well!
