Ubisoft’s penchant for giving its franchises the movie treatment has continued this morning, with the publisher officially announcing that The Division will be headlined by Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain.
Ubisoft Motion Pictures chief executive Gerard Guillemot announced that the two actors were on The Division train this morning in a media release. “Attaching Jake and Jessica is part of our development philosophy of working closely with top talent from the earliest stages to collaborate on a high quality film,” Ubisoft Motion Pictures VP Matt Phelps added.
Interestingly, the press release add that Ubisoft’s movie division was still working on the Ghost Recon project with Warner Bros. That was announced in 2013, but little has been said about the project since then.
The movie adaptation of The Division will be developers with Freckle Films and Nine Stories, production companies that were founded by Chastain and Gyllenhall respectively.

The funny thing is the plot synopsis summary provided to sell this movie… was probably longer than the actual story in game.
I wonder if the enemy will be massive bullet sponges in the movie too?

Will the movie be released in 3 parts that we will have to pay for separately and watch months apart and contain literally nothing interesting?
Hope they make the shot-gunners and cleaners OP in the movie too.
