Halo 5 Player Makes Map Out Of Ocarina Of Time Boss

This is CaptainDireWolf’s take on Zelda. It’s called Bongo Bongo, and he made it in Halo 5.

Bongo Bongo was created using Halo 5: Forge, the game’s level builder which just recently became available free on Windows 10 as well. As a result, players can now create Halo levels and then test them without ever having to turn on their Xbox One. Or in CaptainDireWolf’s case, a very early aughts looking Zelda boss room.

As iKampfer, who played through the level and uploaded the above video of it to Youtube, explained on Reddit, this is how the level works:

“The map is based off the Bongo Bongo boss battle in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When you spawn in on the map you drop down into the boss area and immediately start. There are 4 sets of hands attempting to push you off the map and you must destroy the red barrels on them in order to win. After a while the people that died trying to shoot the hands will spawn as zombies and try to stop you from winning. If you destroy all of the barrels then Bongo Bongo will become vulnerable by sprouting barrels on his face. If you are able to destroy the barrels on his face then he will die and you will be transported to the Chamber of the Sages, congratulations you won. It’s really hard to win on this map but if you are able to memorise the pattern of the hands and are able to avoid the zombies trying to kill you then you might have a chance.”

CaptainDireWolf isn’t the only one to use Halo 5 to share his love of Zelda either. Someone else re-created Clock Town from Majora’s Mask, and there are others.

In case you forgot what the Bongo Bongo fight from Ocarina of Time was, or were too young to have played it at the time, here’s a refresher.

CaptainDireWolf isn’t the only one to use Halo 5 to share his love of Zelda either. Someone else re-created Clock Town from Majora’s Mask, and there are others. While I’m sure the designers at 343 Industries never thought they’d see a Zelda boss fight recreated as a Halo 5 scenarios, I’m sure they’d applaud the creativity.

What other boss fights would you like to see turned into Halo 5 maps?
