Penny Arcade explains why I try to avoid any new interests.
*re-reads Harry Potter while playing Space Quest III*
*sighs regretfully and glances at about $50K worth of unpainted miniatures for various game systems*
I spent $53 on WH40K once. After poorly painting all six space marines and having no one to play with, I set the hobby aside.
Well, in my defence I will say that I have a small Space Marine army and a reasonable Lord of the Rings army as well as a few painted Blood Bowl teams, but really, there was a stage where I should have known just by the amount of time it took me to paint anything that getting through my existing collection would take longer than the amount of time I would be alive.
