One of the ongoing complaints against Pokemon GO is that there’s not enough depth to the gym mechanics. And while their evolution is a long, long running process, Niantic has announced some changes that should make the process of training gyms less arduous.
In a post on the official Facebook GO page, the developers have revealed that players will be able to bring six Pokemon to friendly gyms instead of one. The move is designed to allow more trainers to contribute to gyms, regardless of their level.
The flipside is that it should be much easier to train gyms to their maximum level. It should also put a stop to people dropping a crappy Magikarp on a gym just so they can continually grind with a Caterpie for prestige. It’s not known whether the adjustment of the Pokemon’s CP “during your training session to generally match your Pokemon’s battle capabilities” will impact prestige earned, however.
Niantic didn’t reveal when the upcoming patch would be released, although following previous updates trainers should expect the new version to go live before the middle of next week, if not sooner.

All these things are great but *still* no word on a tracking system? :/
On the facebook page? It’s on the official Pokemon Go website.
i dont understand how nullifying the time people put into training their pokemon by adjusting them to suit under prepared trainers is a good thing? great – gets more people into the game, but at the cost of the integrity of what is at the heart of pokemon battles.. preparing a select team with choice moves to a competitive standard
unless the adjustment is only when reinforcing your own colored gym? then i retract my statement..
It’s friendly only.
late reply.. statement retracted 😉
