Wasteland 3 Hits $US2.75 Million Funding Goal In Just 3 Days

Crowdfunding fatigue? Nope, that doesn’t appear to be a thing at all. inXile Entertainment’s Fig campaign for Wasteland 3 has smashed its target of $US2.75 million in a little over 72 hours and with 26 days remaining, will almost certainly claim several of its stretch goals.

Just over a week ago the game and its campaign were announced and here we are in fully-funded territory. I don’t think anyone doubted inXile would get the sub-$US3 million it was after, but to do so in three days is pretty astounding.

With the initial target reached, the developer is now looking ahead to Wasteland 3‘s stretch goals that, to be fair, are not immensely enticing.

That said, it’s probably a good thing the new incentives aren’t super ambitious. Best to focus on the core game and have the stretch goals as “nice-to-haves” rather than significantly altering the scope of the project, which we know has undone other projects.

Wasteland 3 is currently set for a late 2019 release and will debut on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and the Xbox One. The game will feature co-operative gameplay, vehicles and a new, colder setting based in Colorado.
