Surprised? Don’t be. Evgenia Medvedeva is champion figure skater and a self-proclaimed anime otaku. It’s as though Yuri on Ice was made for her.

Yuri on Ice is about a Japanese figure skater who returns to scene after a massive loss, aiming to compete against a Russian rival. As Kotaku previously reported, Yuri on Ice features some of the most tender male-male relationships in anime.

And Medvedeva really, really digs what she’s seeing. Her Twitter is filled with lots (and I mean lots) of Yuri on Ice.
