You Can Still Get Some Great Adventure Games For Bugger All

Most people have probably played Broken Age by now, but if you didn’t pick up some of their other great remasters or you didn’t check out the superb Oxenfree from earlier this year, now’s your chance.

There’s five days remaining on Humble’s Halloween-themed offering, which is all about the puzzles. Most of it comes courtesy of Double Fine, with Broken Age, Massive Chalice, Grim Fandango Remastered and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. But there’s also Titan Souls, which is really more like a series of boss fights, and the adventure indie thriller Oxenfree.

Here’s what you get at each tier:

Tier 1: Pay What You Want

[clear]

  • Lumino City
  • Broken Age
  • Titan Souls

If you only throw $US1 at this, you’re getting excellent value. Lumino City should be on more people’s radars too; check the trailer out above.

Tier 2: Pay More Than The Average

[clear]

  • Massive Chalice
  • Oxenfree
  • Grim Fandango Remastered

The average is hovering around $5.77 right now. That’d be worth it for Oxenfree alone, but getting Grim Fandango or Massive Chalice with it is a massive steal.

Tier 3: Pay $US9 Or More

[clear]

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered

The bundle actually comes with a VIP ticket for the Day of the Devs event in San Francisco, but for us in Australia that’s not going to be any use at all. So the real benefit is the $US5 discount on the Day of the Tentacle remaster. The value’s actually much better than that if you factor in all the other games, which some occasionally forget to do.

Still, for under $6 – less than what you’d normally pay for a lunch, or even a smoothie – there’s plenty of value for those who like their point-and-clicks.
