Cyberpunk 2077 has been a long time in the making already — it was announced way back in 2012 — but it won’t be released until it’s ready. And CDPR’s work on the game over in Warsaw continues, with a job posting for a vehicle gameplay programmer, including flying vehicles, going up on the company’s jobs board.
The game apparently has a release date, but not a public release date. Not just yet, at least. We all know that Witcher 3 took most of the company’s attention in the past few years, but with Wild Hunt and its expansions all finished, a bigger dev team than ever is taking on the next CDPR title.
And one of those roles is for someone that can dream up a flying car, and then build it. Sure, we’re reading between the lines a little here, but it’s a job posting for a ‘vehicle gameplay programmer’ for Cyberpunk 2077, and if there’s not flying cars I’m going to be very disappointed.
Interested? You’d better be proficient in C++ at the very least, as well as having a solid theoretical understanding of physics and the in-engine scripting to support it. CDPR wants someone with at least five years’ experience, but will relocate you — including giving you some Polish lessons — if you’re successful. [CD Project RED]
