Couple Meets Online Playing Diablo, Gets Married

Alvin Lau (a Crusader) and Alexis Loo (a Demon Hunter) met online while they were playing Diablo III. Their online friendship blossomed into a romance, and the pair got married last year, celebrating the whole thing with an elaborate Diablo-themed cosplay photo shoot.

This wasn’t the big day itself, just a pre-wedding shoot — it’s tough dancing in those shoulder pauldrons — but it’s still pretty great.

Mezame and his crew handled photography, while the Neo Tokyo Project helped out with weapon and prop construction.

Because the couple are from Singapore, getting a proper Diablo-themed shoot was a lot harder than it would be for someone living in a place where classic European ruins and cemeteries are more common. So Mezame shot the pair in front of a green screen, then got creative with some locations like a church and dropped them in later.
