Final Fantasy 15 Gets Its Own Gold Saucer

Next week, Noctis will adorn his finest chocobo outfit for a trip to the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, which starts on January 24 and transforms the city of Altissia into a theme park full of minigames. There's dancing, fishing, photography and, of course, machine-gun firing.

In other news, turns out Final Fantasy 15 had the best-selling North American launch month in series history and was the best-selling PS4 game in December, according to the NPD. Said analyst Sam Naji in a statement: "Final Fantasy XV experienced the best console launch month in the history of the franchise (since tracking began in 1995) selling 19 per cent more new physical units than Final Fantasy XIII in its launch month and 54 per cent more in total dollar revenue including digital full game sales." How about that.

This video just reminded me of the fact that playing the Platinum Demo turned out to be a complete waste of time, as Carbuncle didn't show up once in the actual game outside of the tutorials. Another shortcoming to add to the massive pile.

Also, I wouldn't be so quick to associate what looks like a meager assortment of attractions with the huge amount of mini games that could be found in FFVII's Gold Saucer; Multiple leagues of Chocobo Racing Leagues, an Arena that you can actually participate in with escalating levels of handicaps placed against and all of the best minigames that you encountered throughout the game in one arcade.

On the other hand, I just don't think chocobo obstacle courses, a re-skinned turret shooting gallery and dancing with mascots is going do very well in comparison...

Fuck the Calm Lands and fuck those damn suicidal birds.......

What Jason hasn't realised is that carbuncle is part of the game but only comes out on the easy difficulty, it would be nice if he did make an appearance in other modes but I can see why the developers chose this balance.

Cant wait to try out this content though. More power to SE if this is successful.
